In case you used Facebook, Gmail or Apple ID accounts for creating your account on the Capital.com platform then you can create an API key with a Custom password to it. You should create this password by yourself during the API key generation process and it can be used in order to start a session with the API usage. Mention the set password as a value for the password parameter in the POST /session method to launch a session. Also mention the email from the Facebook, Gmail or Apple ID accounts as a value for the identifier parameter.
Please note that you should create passwords for all of your subsequent API keys until the moment you set a password to your Capital.com account. After that moment you can either proceed to create Custom passwords for your API keys or use an account password if you haven't generated a custom one for this API key prior.
